Three views of life's relationship to the cosmos
Passenger
One-way causation. The cosmos produces life. Life is interesting but causally inert.
Participant
Bidirectional. Life accelerates dissipation, shaping the cosmos that shaped it. Speculative.
Structural Consequence
Geometrically entailed. Life emerges from bilateral architecture through attractor dynamics and assembly. Not accidental, not causal: implied.
The bilateral cosmos suggests a third option.
Life is neither a lucky accident nor a cosmic mover —
it is what the universe's architecture produces, wherever conditions permit.
