The Bilateral Cosmos

Time mirrors, Janus points, and the architecture of trust

The Bilateral Cosmos A glowing Janus Point sits at the center, labeled The Big Bang. Two cones widen away from it: Our Universe to the left in green, Mirror Universe to the right in gold, each filling with scattered points that grow denser toward its outer edge. A dashed arc arches over the top, labeled Einstein-Rosen bridge, temporal mirror, not spatial tunnel. Below each cone a three-step scale marks shape complexity running from low at the Janus Point through mid to high at the outer edge, and an arrow marks time running left in one half and right in the other. Ethical Implications

The Big Bang is a bifurcation from within. The cosmos begins as a bilateral event: two arrows of time emerge together, neither prior, neither dominant. Partnership is the architecture of the universe itself.
In both temporal directions, entropy rises and complexity builds. The second law drives a climb into structure symmetrically on both sides of the Janus point. Entropy is the engine of creation, running in both directions at once.
If ER = EPR, then the geometric fabric of spacetime is woven from entanglement. Connection holds the universe together. In this reading, the wormhole links two regions through relationship, and trust may describe that cosmic structure.
Unitarity, the principle that quantum information is never destroyed, implies that nothing entrusted to the universe is ever annihilated. It may be scrambled, redistributed, hidden behind horizons, but it persists. The cosmos is faithful to what it receives.
CPT symmetry guarantees that the laws of physics are unchanged when you reverse charge, parity, and time simultaneously. Swap every role, mirror every perspective, reverse the arrow of time, and the rules still hold. This is the golden rule written into the geometry of spacetime: the ethical demand is invariant under perspective reversal.
The universe does not just permit trust. It may be built from it.
